Install Big Sur on MSI Notebook GL72M 7REX

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone out there,

I wanted to pass away from windows and join the "Hackintosh-Family".

I created the two partitions with TransMac (bootloader & the other) with Hackintosh Big Sur, which works to start the Clove Bootloader, but not the installation

itself cause of different errors (ocs no schema for this and this and this ...)

I don't know how to get my driver requirements etc. to the bootloader EFI - the BIOS is setup correctly as said here.

My system information is the following:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GDDR5 (4GB)

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz

Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-1799 Motherboard

VGA Intel HD Graphics 630

Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 WIFI

Qualcomm Atheros AR8171/8175 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)

Synaptics SMBus TouchPad

16GB DDR4-2400 RAM

I would be really grateful for every help to get this thing done on my PC to get away from Windows for ever.

Thanks in advance to all of you

Can you explain for my understanding why not? I think I saw on my search some forums where they told, that

there must be some possibilities to get it done after installation?! I am absolutely a newbie to this!

And yes I followed the instructions :)

First I prepared the external USB-Device via TransMac (Format Disc for Mac and put the Restore Image into after that).

After I set up the BIOS the same as instructed, only the CFG Lock I couldn't see or choose.

The only thing I didn't get really I think were the things with EFI Folders/Clover/Kexts.

I would be more than grateful for any help to get this done to my MSI - I want to use it for my works as GFX-Designer =)

Best Regards and thanks for your answer
