There is not enough free space on (null) to install

Recommended Posts

Hey!

Today I tried installing Hackintosh Catalina on my Razer Blade Stealth.

Everything went fine in the installation process until I had to erase my hard drive partition.

The partition I want to use has 84GB of free space, but when I erased and formatted the partition in Disk Utility it became unmounted and renamed to "(null)". The "mount" button is there but nothing happens when I press it and I can't proceed with the installation because I get the message "There is not enough free space on (null) to install", even though there is 84gb which should be plenty.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how/ if I can proceed?

Thanks! 😄

If possible use a program like MiniTool Partition Wizard to Create a partition with GUID Partition Table.

If you are booting in Safe mode this could happen.
