macbook 13-inch, Early 2008 OSX Upgrade

Question

hi

I have a macbook 13-inch, Early 2008

2.1Ghz intel core 2 duo.

4GB Ram

graphics intel GMA X3100 144MB

running OS X Lion 10.7.5

I tried mountain Lion and it boots to a warning symbol and nothing else.

can you suggest the best OSX upgrade.

My dvd drive doesn't read discs. i do have USB 32GB and 16GB drives.

You need to patch platforms playlist file to Install Mountain Lion. You can try the Hackintosh Mountain Lion Installer to boot.

i'm new to mac not sure how or what that means patch playlist?

i tried mountain lion and got warning symbol

i believe you are talking about info.plist 

do you know what i would change or add?

I used Hackintosh Mountain Lion Installer to boot that's why i posted on this forum
