Kext error when booting from SSD

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Installation from USB went really well, but now I've got a couple of issues.  First, and I had this in the USB boot too, I have to enter the bootflag "npci=0x3000" to get by "PCI Configuration Begin;" is there a way to permanently correct this?  Second, I am freezing and going to a black screen due to the following:

"Can't load kext com.apple.driver.pmtelemetry - link failed."

"Failed to load executable for kext com.apple.driver.pmtelemetry."

"Kext com.apple.driver.pmtelemetry failed to load (0xdc008016)."

The final thing it states is:

"Did not find a usable MAC Address for Entity ID. Please file a bug report at https://bugreporter.apple.com with the model identifier, IOConsoleUsers: time<0>  0->0"

You can add the npci=0x3000 into boot arguments by using Clover Configurator.

After you do this ping me, using a mobile phone to post

Okay, I've added it under the "Boot" > "Boot Arguments" section.

Umm, how do I "ping" you using my phone?

Actually if you do this correctly there wont be an error, you can check if the boot-flag is active by visiting Clover Options menu.

While Installing, You should never select MakeMacWork from Customize section, also don't forget to unselect Backup Graphics Extensions.

I do not use MakeMacWork and I did unselect Backup Graphics Extensions.  The PCI Configuration Begins is okay now, it's this Entity ID error that keeps stopping me cold.

Please post your full hardware specs.

Do you mean there is a kernel panic after the line

“Did not find a usable MAC Address for Entity ID. Please file a bug report“

Please post a picture of the error too.

Mobo: Dell 0FM586 (DG33M03)

CPU: Intel Xeon E5450

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 5670 512 MB GDDR5

PS: Corsair CX500M

Yes, I guess you call it a Kernel Panic, the screen goes black after the error and the system essentially stops.

How do I post a picture?

Your graphics card is not being detected or Graphics Injection is not working.

Try to boot with -radvesa bootflag

Reinstall, Select Backup Graphics Extensions while Installing.

To replace Graphics Extensions you must use the command.

sudo grafix replace all
