Can i use this installer to install Mountain Lion on an unsupported Mac?

Question

Can i use this installer to install Mountain Lion on an unsupported Mac? The mac in question is a summer 2007 Mac mini with a 64-bit Core 2 duo clocked at 1.83 GHz, with 4 GB of ram. The maximum OS it can run is OS X 10.7 Lion.

Yes it would probably work because the installer does not check for platforms but in some cases it may also throw some errors.

Make sure to unselect Install bootloader and other kexts from Customize section as they are not necessary on a Mac.
