Installing High Sierra on a Mac - straightforward?

tl;dr - is installation just a matter of double-clicking the installer icon?

Apologies for the newbie question - I want to install HS on a MacMini (5,1 - mid 2011 model) currently running 10.10 (Yosemite) because Adobe Creative Cloud requires 10.12 (Sierra) or better and HS is the latest OS that can be installed. I've always installed using the App Store, so installing from a disk image is new to me. Is/are there any glitches I should be aware of? Thanks

There is no glitch but if you're Installing High Sierra on a Mac, Use the High Sierra Installer for Mac
