My asus laptop is X550VC, 8 GB Ram, 512 GB space, NVidia GeForce GT 720M, Intel core i5-3230M 2.6 GHz

Yes your laptop can run macOS Catalina but your Graphics will not work 720M is a mobile chipset and Catalina barely support Nvidia chipsets.
